Immunohistochemistry uses antibodies to detect antigens in a tissue sample. Immunohistochemistry Test is used to diagnose cancer by detecting a specific type of antibody attached to the antigen on the cell surface. The purpose of the special staining technique is to detect molecules which are usually markers specifying whether the cancer is benign or malignant. IHC Test is commonly used to diagnose cancer, predict treatment response and determine likely outcomes of the disease. Healthcare providers most commonly use the IHC Panel Test to diagnose cancer, but it can also diagnose other conditions like Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and muscular dystrophy.
Immunohistochemistry is a lab technique pathologists use to look for signs of disease in tissue samples. As part of your diagnosis, a healthcare provider may remove tissue and send it to a lab for test in Sohna, Gurugraming. For example, they may remove part of a tumour and send it to a lab to test for cancer cells. This is called biopsy. IHC Test price is quite affordable and makes use of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies for detecting the presence of specific antigens. As the IHC Test sample involves antigen-antibodies reactions, it helps provide more accurate results than other clinical diagnostics. IHC Test means it requires the availability of biopsies; these are processed into sections with a microtome and then the sections are incubated with an appropriate antibody. The site of antibody binding is visualized under an ordinary or fluorescent microscope by a marker such as fluorescent dye, enzyme, radioactive element, or colloidal gold which is directly linked to the primary antibody or to an appropriate secondary antibody.
